Recipes are for sharing

I find it difficult to follow directions.

Perhaps that's why I'm not the world's best cook. But I can cook. And people eat what I cook. And that's what matters, right?
I'm thinking this blog is a great place to share some of my family's favorite recipes. Some are generational hand-me-downs. Some are favorite dishes the kind friends shared with me. Many are brand new off the web.
I like all categories of food. I have a Pinterest board for pizza (yum!) and vegan cooking (also yum, but in a different way), and soups, and salads, and tofu, and desserts, and vegetarian cooking (recipes using dairy and eggs), and party foods, and .... Well, you get the point.
Posting family favorites here will help me preserve them for future generations.
I'll post them randomly, like I do most everything else. So check in from time to time to see what's cooking.
And that makes me think of some favorite sayings I've heard around mealtime:
Grab it and growl.
I'm not worried about nutrition, honey. Just bulk.
My favorite meal of the day!
Root hog or die.
Everything's better with avocado.
Let's give thanks to One who made it.
What are some of your favorite dinnertime sayings?
